Training

Prochem Installation Training

A safe operation requires; recognising hazards, using equipment “fit for purpose”, understanding systems and procedures, having trained and competent staff, a thorough knowledge of emergency procedures and the ongoing monitoring of performance.

All of these key objectives apply to personal and facility integrity. They are also relevant to the selection, installation and performance of instrumentation valves, tube, tube fittings and threaded pipe fittings.

Prochem Installation Training improves the overall safety of your fluid system installations to ensure installation integrity and reliability.

Our aim is to work with your system installers, designers and maintenance staff to help them maintain personal safety and facility integrity and to learn strategies to improve the efficiency and productivity at your worksite.

The practical training and assessment is suited to anyone involved in the design, installation and safety of fluid systems, including:

  • Engineers
  • Research Scientists
  • Design and Drafting Personnel
  • Production/Manufacturing Personnel
  • Maintenance Personnel
  • Plant Managers and Supervisors
  • Estimators
  • Safety Professionals.

Prochem Installation Training can be tailored to meet your site requirements and to take into account your company standards and specifications. Training can be conducted onsite at your facility or at a Prochem training facility.

All literature, tools, tubing, fittings and other equipment are provided. Each attendee receives a training workbook.

Outcome: Improved Safety, Reliability and Performance

  • Identify different thread types, assemble them correctly and safely.
  • Understand the importance of correct thread engagement using pitch gauges, vernier callipers and other tools.
  • Correctly select the right materials to ensure corrosion resistance, safety and reliability.
  • Identify types of tubing and the effects of pressure and temperature.
  • Identify potential hazards with tube and tube fitting installations, including leakage, poor system design and poor installation.
  • Correctly select and then assemble compression fittings.
  • Use adaptors and other tools to make the installation easier.
  • Identify part numbers, fitting function and design.
  • Use accurate and cost effective methods for tube cutting, de-burring and bending with practical assessment.

Students who pass both the written and practical training components will receive certificates of completion.
