Analyser experts estimate that 70-80% of analyser outages are caused by the sample handling and sample transport systems.
For many years Analyser have developed into intricate units yet the sample transport line have continued to be run in 316 tubing.
While 316 does of course have its application to sample transport, Sulphur and Moisture analysis have long been the downfall of the 316 tube.
Sulphur absorbs into the surface of stainless steel and moisture tends to stick to the wall of the tube. The use of Teflon derivatives was an alternative but porosity at temperature has always been its downfall.
O’Brien analytical have come up with methods of electro-polishing long coils of tube, and, utilising Reztek coatings, have the perfect solution for strenuous Sulphur and Moisture applications achieved by extending the tubes already used inside the analyser all the way to the process connection.
Coupled with steam or electric tracing for temperature maintenance, the tube developments can improve your response times by up to 50% in moisture applications and 80% in some Sulphur applications giving the perfect solution for your analyser applications.
